Day 1: Mfuwe Airport

Arrive at Mfuwe Airport and transfer to Mfuwe Lodge for a welcome briefing and lunch.

Afterward, we will make our way to Chamilandu Bush Camp, where you'll settle in and embark on your first afternoon game drive, exploring the rich wildlife of South Luangwa as the sun begins to set over the bush.

Day 2-3: Chamilandu

Days 2-3 will be spent exploring the diverse and wildlife-rich areas surrounding Chamilandu Camp, stopping to photograph captivating sightings along the way. We'll focus on key predator encounters as they unfold, birds in beautiful lighting, and the abundance of elephant, hippo, and antelope species drawn to the Luangwa River.

Your days will include two game drives—one in the early morning and one in the late afternoon—allowing you to take advantage of the best light for photography, with ample time in between to relax at camp or edit your images while enjoying the serene riverside views.

Day 4: Game Drive to Chikunto
After our final morning game drive at Chamilandu, we'll return to camp for breakfast, pack our bags, and begin the scenic drive to Chikunto Camp. We expect to arrive by midday, giving us time to settle in and enjoy lunch before heading out for an evening game drive, exploring the wildlife around this new area before returning to camp for the night.
Day 5-7: Chikunto

From Days 5 to 7 at Chikunto, we will focus on seeking out the best photographic opportunities South Luangwa has to offer. Our exploration will take us along the Luangwa River and through the park’s floodplains, where we’ll concentrate on capturing striking images of predators, elephants, and other wildlife in dramatic light with clean, minimal backgrounds.

Day 8: Departure
We will begin early with a final morning game drive from Chikunto, capturing any last moments of South Luangwa's wildlife. Afterward, we'll return to camp for breakfast before making our way back to Mfuwe Airport for your flight home, concluding our unforgettable journey through this remarkable wilderness.
